The Listening Nest

I’m an Integrative Counsellor with a background in the NHS & Health & Social Care. I’m also Level 3 AET trained and work as a counselling tutor, teaching foundational counselling skills.

I try and bring all of this experience into a warm, open and down-to-earth practice. I’m neurodivergent myself and a parent to a beautiful daughter with ADHD and autism, so I understand personally how layered, challenging and brilliant neurodivergent lives can be. That lived experience shapes the way I work: practical, compassionate, curious and free from judgement.

Integrative therapy, tailored to you
I work primarily from a person-centred approach, meaning that you are at the heart of our work. I draw on a range of theories and tools, adapting our work to your needs, pace and communication style rather than expecting you to fit a particular model.

Neurodiversity-aware practice
I understand the impact that sensory differences, executive functioning difficulties, masking and navigating a predominantly neurotypical world can have on wellbeing, relationships and self-esteem. I aim to offer a space where you don’t have to mask or explain yourself to be understood.

Family and parenting support
I offer practical, compassionate support to parents. Parenting can be rewarding, exhausting and complicated all at once, and sometimes you need a space that is about you, as well as your family.

Trauma-informed and attachment-aware work
I work sensitively and at your pace, drawing on evidence-informed approaches to help develop a greater sense of safety, emotional regulation, resilience and self-understanding.

Reflective practice and personal development
As a counselling tutor, I have a particular interest in reflective learning, education and developing insight. Whether you’re navigating a difficult period, exploring patterns in your life or simply wanting to understand yourself better, we can work together to make sense of what’s happening and identify what might help.

I also work with individuals who are neurodivergent or supporting neurodivergent family members, late diagnosis and anyone looking for an integrative counsellor who brings together professional knowledge and lived experiences as a whole.

I’m warm, straightforward and a little quirky! :)

I take my work seriously, but I don’t believe therapy needs to feel clinical or intimidating! I’m professional, but I’m human too.

I value integrity, clear boundaries and honesty. Most importantly, I want therapy to feel like a space where you can be yourself, feel heard and leave with greater understanding.

'To understand yourself is the beginning of wisdom.' — Jiddu Krishnamurti.
